Session attendance monitoring has been a part of our software for over 6 years now. We were one of the first companies to build an integrated on-site toolset with a full-featured event management software package.  Our attendance monitoring solution is called Session Access Control (SAC). 

In the past, we have simply installed our kiosk application to individual computers that the customer rented, hooked up a scanner, configured the machine and everything was good to go. We have run into limitations on occasion with this process. The primary limitation is that all the machines needed to be exactly the same... same hardware, same processor, same memory... everything. 

Once we're onsite, sometimes the quantity of machines needed requires the use of slightly different machines, thus making the image invalid across all machines in use.  

So, what's the next step for SAC?

To improve SAC, we have decided to develop our own SAC Appliance. Using HP Thin Clients, mated with a monitor and USB scanner, we can deliver a consistent and remotely-managed Session Access Control system that is more powerful, easier to use and delivers a much better experience for our customers and attendees.
