Quality Assurance Engineer

Description

This engineer will be responsible for testing our Conference application as it relates to specific technology conferences. This position helps to establish a base line of performance and to document specific enhancements. The engineer will need to test web based software, find problems and work with the developers to resolve the issues. The engineer will also need to try to duplicate customer issues and help solve the customer problems too.

Responsibilities

Test web based software specific to technology conferences
Find bugs
Enter bugs into the JIRA database (our bug tracking system)
Work with developers to resolve the bugs
Track these bugs through until they reach a final state
Write scripts for automated testing
Run scripts for automated
Run scripts for automated load testing
Work with developers and project managers to determine requirements and ensure that these requirements are met prior to the conference date.
Must be able to work well with others, and have ability to prioritize tasks and work on several projects.

Qualifications

BA or BS in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of Internet and web applications, particularly those addressing software companies
Experience testing web based applications.
Self-motivated with a desire to succeed in chosen career path.
Action oriented with the capability to complete tasks in a timely and comprehensive manner.
